Founder’s Bio

Hi, I'm Amy, the photographer behind Gould Standard Photography.

My passion for photography began with a desire to preserve moments with the people who matter most. I was born in Italy, and much of my family still lives in Europe. Because they are half a world away, opportunities to spend time together are rare, often limited to a visit once a year.

Over time, I came to appreciate how powerful photographs can be. They allow us to hold onto moments that pass far too quickly, capturing not only how people looked, but how it felt to be there with them. A photograph can bring back a smile, a conversation, a place, or a memory that might otherwise fade with time.

This became especially meaningful to me after my grandfather passed away. Looking back through photographs of our time together reminds me of the person he was and the memories we shared. Those images have become some of my most treasured possessions.

That experience shaped the way I approach photography today. Whether I'm capturing a graduation, family gathering, engagement, wedding, or personal milestone, my goal is to create images that you will cherish for years to come. The moments we photograph today become the memories we look back on tomorrow, and I am honoured to help preserve them.
